I feel like I do nothing but make these. This was a kid's shirt so it's a small hand bag.

I know it seems like all I do is pimp my stuff, but I do actually read my friends page a lot (which is very quiet, is everybody turning away from lj?). I'm just super busy what with the knitting and bag making, two children, one Husband, and art appreciation course. I'm stressed but in a good way. I'm also really looking forward to summer when children can go outside and I can garden again. I think we're going to join a CSA so that we can get a large variety of vegetables. Oh and I really want to try vermicomposting. Especially since I read you can give them junk mail and mail you're supposed to shred but that Husband uses to start fires (in the fireplace).
Non concert related this time. I actually really like this bag and it turned out really well.

Some wristwarmers made out of sock yarn and crocheted tightly. They should be warm without being bulky.
And a beret from self patterning yarn.

Christmas was busy but good. I'm still alive, but two kids keeps me really busy.

I've been knitting the Icarus Shawl lately. It was kind of boring and slow at first, but the end was very interesting. I still have to weave the ends in but it was easy to take photos while it was blocking.

Pimping the blog:Cerlandia. You might actually learn something about my life if you read it too. That's an added bonus for you.
LJ is dead lately. Very few of my flist actually posts anymore. Has everybody moved on to facebook?

Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.
Knitting It's what I do. I also know how to crochet and sew, but I probably knit the most. It's something I can do while the kids play and it's easily put down for when they're not playing well.
Road trips I love a good road trip. The kind where you take your time getting there and go visit tacky things on the side of the road. It's been a while since we took a good road trip and I'd like to do one again. It says something about your relationship when you can take a road trip together and not be completely annoyed with each other.
Sarcasm Just one of the many services I offer. My children should understand sarcasm by the age of 5.
Politics The only thing George Bush did well was make people care about politics and I was definitely one of them. It's very hard for one person to make a difference though and I wish people would come together more often. We do have the power to change things, but not by sitting in our living rooms.
Life before kids (okay this one I'm just curious about. :P) Was much simpler. I'm not really sure what you want to know, but if you ask specifically or explain better I can tell you.

I was watching Arthur with Daughter today and the grandma knits. It made me realize how much I notice when people on tv knit and if they do it right or not. Marge on the Simpsons knits differently. Every time she's shown knitting the ends of the needles are pointed up and the pointy ends that the yarn is on is down. I tried doing it like that once and it's freakishly hard. Does anyone actually knit like that? Or perhaps that people drawing Marge just don't know any knitters. Gromit is knitting like I do in my icon - pointy ends up.

I am so incredibly saddened and confused by California. Why was it unconstitutional to not let gays/lesbians marry last year, but all of a sudden this year it isn't? What exactly did Bush do to the constituion before he left that I missed?

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's, aunts, grandmothers, and godmothers.
I was going to garden, but it kind of looks like rain. I bought tomato plants at the farmer's market yesterday and I wanted to get them in the ground. I'm going back Tuesday so I can get an heirloom tomato (they were out of them yesterday). I've always wanted an heirloom tomato but I suck at starting seeds.

From mousme
Comment to this post, and I list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random — then post that list, with your commentary, to your lj (or just add a reply back at me). I and other people get our lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
(These five things from mousme)
Knitting I knit a lot. I started about 5 years ago to fill the time in between looking for jobs and I've never stopped. According to some people I also knit things very quickly, but I think it's more because I do instant gratification projects. I am currently working on a sweater and since I have a lot of time on my hands these days it is going quickly.
Baby! I'm pregnant. 3 more weeks and I'll be considered full term, hopefully I will also get off the dr. mandated sloth then.
Food I used to cook a lot. I haven't been able to as much since I became pregnant due to lack of energy and then the dr. mandated sloth. I also like to grow my own food, although I fear I won't be able to this summer. Instead I'll go to the local farmstand. I do love the fresh produce that summer brings.
Feminism I was born a Feminist.
Politics I didn't become really political until Bush was put into office. It was a reaction to how poor of a job he was doing at the time. It also made me realize that it does matter who is in office and if you want things to change you need to fight for it and vote. Sadly, I'm still very ignorant when it comes to world politics.
